Give a Lamb a Drink

The Give a Lamb a Drink campaign has an ambitious goal: 90 new drinkers in five years. Those systems can support more than 6,750 additional desert bighorn, an icon of the California desert. Each system costs about $25,000 in equipment, and you can do your part for as little as $300.

  • Sponsor a complete drinker and a plaque at the site recognizes your gift — email the chapter to arrange it

Katie in the Cady’s Project

In Memory of Kathleen “Katie” Garrison-Martin

Katie passed away on September 14, 2025. For more than 15 years she was a devoted participant and volunteer at chapter events. In her honor her husband, Donald C. Martin, together with CAWSF, has established the “Katie in the Cady’s Project”, a fundraising effort to build a wildlife drinker in the Cady Mountains of Southern California — the range whose coveted Unit 9 bighorn permit Katie applied for every year, though she was never drawn.

  • Three potential drinker sites have been identified within the Cady Mountain range
